FAN ART AND CAPTION CONTEST!!!!!!!
Hi, everyone! We've got another fan art/caption contest on the way! Why? Because I can! And I'd like to let everyone who didn't get a chance to win/enter last time a second chance. Since it's getting close to winter (or summer! XD), the theme is 'winter.' Holidays, winter break fun . . . draw anything you wish! You can even draw yourself into the picture with your favorite character if you like. For those of you who don't want to draw, there's a caption segment as well, where you take an existing page or panel and change the word bubbles to something humourous (but please keep it PG-13 at the most!). Deadline for the contest is January 15th, 2010! Winners will be chosen by myself and members of Strawberry Comics. A first-place winner in each category will win a Haruka prize pack, including the Wings fan book, t-shirt, and another goodie. 2nd place winners will win a copy of the Haruka fan book. Q. What is the contest for?
A. The contest is for just plain fun, and to give folks who didn't win/couldn't enter the previous contest a chance to show their stuff! :D
Q. What is the theme?
A. The fan art portion's theme is 'winter.' The caption portion is a free-for-all.
Q. What type of medium can I use?
A. You can use anything! Pen, pencil, marker, Photoshop . . . . whatever you like!
Q. What if I don't have access to photo-editing software and want to make a caption?
A. No problem! Just e-mail the captions you've created with the corresponding chapter and page number and I'll take care of the rest.
Q. Can I enter both parts of the contest? How many pieces can I enter?
A. You can enter both the fan art and caption portions of the contest, but you can only win in one. You can enter as many times as you like!
Q. Are there any limitations as to what I can enter?
A. Since Cardboard Angel is read by a variety of people, I'd like to keep everything entered at PG-13 or under. Please no excessive nudity or profanity. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
Q. I live outside the US. Can I still enter?
A. Of course! Anyone in the world can enter this contest.
Q. When is the deadline and when are winners announced? Who chooses the winner?
A. The deadline is January 15th, 2010 at 11:59 PM (just before it changes from 14th to 15th). Winners will be announced in the following weeks and will be determined by myself and other members of Strawberry Comics.
Q. What do we win?
A. First-place winners will receive a copy of the Haruka fan book, a t-shirt, and another goodie. Runners-up will receive a copy of the fan book. There will be a first place winner and runner-up in EACH category; four chances to win something!!
Q. Can I snail-mail you my entry?
A. If you can't send it by e-mail or link it, send me a note and we'll figure things out.
Q. Where will entries be posted? Is there a size limit?
A. Entries will be posted on this page, and there is no size limit as I can resize it if needed.
